IET is one of the leading consultancies for water desalination projects and given our vast international and local experience and knowledge, we bring added value to our clients.
We have been involved on several water desalination plant projects in the Middle East and particularly Oman acting as Owner’s Engineer, Technical Advisor and as Detailed design consultant. Our local working knowledge in IWP’s (Independent Water Plants) and in local Authority requirements has resulted in optimisation of plant components and considerable savings to the Client.
We have worked on the first IWP in Oman – Sur IWP and was involved in providing technical advice to the Oman Government throughout its development. Our work on “Masterplan for the Water Sector in Oman” for the Ministry of National Economy and the “Security of Supply of Potable Water” led to the inception of Ghubrah and Qurayyat IWP’s. We have been providing technical advisory services to Nama Water & Power Procurement Company on several IWP’s including Barka IWP’s, Sur IWP’s and Qurayyat IWP. We provided the services as ‘Owners Engineer’ for Ghubrah IWP (Oman), Barka V IWP (Oman) and Yanbu 4 IWP (KSA). We were the ‘Detailed Design Consultant’ appointed by EPC for the Sohar 2 IWP (Oman).
Being involved in all stages of the IWP, we have all the relevant experience in the execution of major RO Desalination Projects.
